Safe Play Case Study
A messy play area caused by rotting bark mulch at St Pauls C of E Primary School in Sunderland was converted into a safe, clean and practical surface with the use of our Safe Play system.
The play area covering approximately 160m2 needed to be long lasting and low maintenance, giving good value. The installation from start to finish took only three days with virtually no disruption to school life.
We began by removing and disposing of the existing bark mulch then prepared the underlying ground surface.
The first layer consisting of rubber ring mats was laid. This provides a safe, soft landing should any of the children trips or falls.
The final surface of outdoor carpet was then secured in place to leave an excellent play area for the children to enjoy.
